Re: 'Down and outs'
Well spotted Ian, If its not the same vehicle it's its twin.
The background in your pic. looks very familiar but the reg. isn't a local one.
Was there any info with the pic.

Re: 'Down and outs'
Hi Fred
Unfortunately there was no further info but it did mention Derby, don't think it's from down this neck of the woods, unless you know different?
Cheers

It may be the same one because the chap whose yard it was in, I am sure that he said it came from Derby, there was also a wrecker too which was in a similar state of decay such a pity really.

Re: 'Down and outs'
Here is a side shot of the Daimler and one of the wrecker that also occupied the same yard; the shot of the five pot Gardner is the engine in the wrecker not the access platform. The owner of the yard told me that he had to wait for the wrecker to come back in to the bus depot on a 'tow in job' after he had bought it.
Sadly both machines sat at the back of his yard and although there was interest expressed in the wrecker it could not be saved as it was blocked in at the far end of the yard and so it was left to decay.

Re: 'Down and outs'
Done some research and definitely a Derby Council logo on the door of the Daimler which would have looked like this new this one is number 5 the one in my photo was number 3, so how many we're in their fleet is open to debate.
