CMN Photo Competition October 2013

Hi!

It is time for the CMN Photo Competition October 2013!

Rules:
- the photo must be taken in the ongoing month
- the photo must be related to machinery
- max 2 photos per month and user
- the winner will be referee in the next months competition (threads started by me)
If the referee has not choosen a winner within two weeks me or a moderator will be referee

Prize: a CMN t-shirt

Okay so lets get this months competition 'rocking and rolling' taken yesterday I think this is an English Electric motor out of a class 20 loco but I stand to be corrected on that, perhaps Martyn Williams will confirm the engine's identity?

At a local country show , Diggerland offering free rides . The kids really impressed , they were jumping straight onto these machines and with no tuition whatsoever were soon hooking ducks and knocking skittles over, none of the kids I watched having a go failed to get the hang of it quickly . The X-box generation !

Craig I don't think its so much the 'X-box generation' but more that when you are a kid you are still learning and have a much better chance of picking things up, lets face it we learn all that we need to survive as a kid from how to speak to how to eat and I think that kids who show an active appreciation of machinery should be encouraged and not put off by daft health and safety laws.
