Well time to chose a winner to Feburary's photo competition.
As usual there was a good selection of plant and haulage, old and new. The main themes of Opencast, Demolition and Heavy Haulage are right up my street and I am always keen to see pictures of these industries. Some of you managed to hit the nail right on the head, especially when it came down to two things.......Volvo trucks and O&K RH series excavators. So with out further adoo, here are the top 3.
In third place - SRB with John Duncan's tidy Volvo FH12, Faymonville trailer loaded with the days sport wagons for the chasers. Well done , very sharp photo.
In 2nd place - Liebherr112fan with his capture of Aylwards Volvo 8x4 with huge Plafinger crane on. Nice imposing photo.
And the WINNER in 1st place is Ross with his excellent picture of the Terex O&K RH120E Backhoe.
BIG machine, BIG power and excellent well focused picture.
