Yes Stuart I wondered how Cat were going to build their large mining shovels? Perhaps they will just do what Komatsu did with Demag?
It would of been nice to see what Cat would of come up with if they had not made their new acquisition?

Go on DHS Diecast and you'll deffinately get it on there! You could paint them bright pink with purple spots on but aslong as it has the cat badge on they wont care.....it'd still be the best thing since sliced bread! Even even if cat do cock it up (which im sure they wont) and they suddenly become terrible machines they would still never have a bad word said about them! Aslong as it shows CAT somewhere! Its a shame bout them buying them out though....i really like the Bucyrus RH livery and now i reckon it'll go to baby puke brown i guess! Oh well........i dont really like mining so shouldnt affect me at all really haha

Aye well Iam a Bit of a CAT man myself ... (I just like the push a little from both end's  )

Yeah I like the Colour .. Real nice in the flesh.

It could be a good thing (The buy out) If they add the same technology from the Trucks onto the diggers.

Yeh im not saying its a bad thing....

I have to say that im not a cat fan just because of the fact i had a 315CL and had nothing but problems with it!........I wouldnt be against trying out anything bigger but im not too fussed if i dont....much prefer the jap machines i suppose especially the Hitachi's!

Will be interesting to see what colour scheme they give it!
