I'll throw this one in! I was visiting a friend in Lincoln and it was working in a "big" field opposite his house. A Cat D8, there were more letters but I can't remember them :doh:

the lack of visible lift rams maybe ;) ,lookie whats to the right of it 8-) wheres that renault bloke ,he will have fond memorys of those :wave:

No its not the twin lift rams missing as the twin lift rams are under the boom ... its the monoblock boom that looks weird ...

come now Jeremy wheres more pictures of the Magnum :offtopic:

Its a horrible looking boom and also very rare as most of these machines had a two piece boom :wtf: this is the first one I have seen with a monoblock boom :o You are quite correct the boom lift rams on these machines were located underneath the boom.
Sorry no Magnum pics either :thumbdown:

Thought id submit a couple of pics this month. First the latest machine purchased for the ABM plant hire restoration scheme :lol:

Same picture as Jeremys taken by myself showing weld strip on boom on the JCB 6D (Originally supplied 1968 to Smith Construction,Heckington,Lincoln) now residing in the Derby area awaiting renovation.
