Lancer boss forklift- park brake

Post #1 by geochushi » Tue Jul 20, 2021 8:34 am

Hi, I have a Lancer boss forklift that had been lying around the yard for a while. Managed to work on the engine but I cannot get the park brake to work. All the brake liners are fine and cleaned, however, the hand brake cable is there but is slack, I have no idea of how to get some tension on it as all the movement when I pull the lever does translate into movement to the liners. There could be a missing bracket but I have no idea what it looks like.

Hi George and welcome  perhaps if you could post some photos of the linkage system somebody on here may be able to spot anywhere that you may be able to adjust the cable, under normal circumstances there would be a way to carry out adjustment.

Jeremy
