Usually a good spot to see old kit , one time every town had one , few coal merchants left now though . This yard at Alnmouth has three loaders two yellow Volvos and multicolour one I don't recognise.

Over in Whitby their are two coal yards on an industrial estate , they moved out of the railway yard to make way for the inevitable new supermarket . One has a Ford 4000 with an older shovel on front and the other has the 'latest' technology a JCB tele handler , ideal for the job I suppose.
