JCB 413 loader, searching for infos

Post #1 by tony413 » Thu Jul 05, 2012 1:29 am

Hi Mark, I just wanted to ask you for any info on my 413 loader? The little bit of research i`ve done has told me there is not many around, this may be the only one in australia. I do know they are 75% common to the 418, I think they have the same engine to but the 418 has the turbo for extra 27hp. I put some pics up with seral no`s.

Hi Mark, My dad bought this machine back in 1983 or 84 for a gold project, after the gold ran out it sat in the shed and only did odd jobs around the property. It only has 2000 hrs on the clock since the electrics started to fail and the clock stopped i`ve done about 100hrs. The biggest problem with the 413 is getting parts, would you or anyelse know the part number for the service manual or part manuals? I need gear shift cables one is broken and the other is tight. The other problem is the steering,i have rebuilt the pump because i couldn`t get one from jcb, this didn`t fix the steering. I`m thinking bits of bearing and metal have traveled to the orbital valve and causing problems. I have already downloaded data on the electrics from this site MANY MANY AND LOTS AND LOTS OF THANKS. :D
(apoliges if i offended anyone

Don't remember seeing that post, mind you it is nearly 9 years ago! What a tidy machine for the age. JCB's first entry to pivot steer machines following the production of badge engineered Chasesides. My cousin was on the design team at Rocester and it was exciting times. I think JCB himself had quite an input into the oscillating pivot.
