Re: 992G
Very nice Stuart! Where do you work and what do you do? Sell CAT EQ?
The 992G is a really nice looking loader. Biggest with box boom Cat have built. They accually tried to do the same with the 994 loader but it didnt hold up good.
Not sure on the new 993K loader if it has the box boom to. But I think it didnt have it.

Re: 992G
Hello Niklas,
The new 993K has traditional loader frame, the new 992K will be mono boom but only availiable in standard lift, as appose to standard and high lift for the former G series.
The new 992K will also be powered by a C32 engine (same used in 777F & D11T).
We (that is Finnings who i work for) are the Cat dealership for the UK. (also Parts of Canada, Chile, Argentina)

Nice pics
Finning fitter (Will remain nameless) Told me them new 777Fs are pretty poor. C32 just an electronic version of the 3412 fitted to meet emissions. Shed any light on this?

Re: 992G
Have had issues with power, turned out to be primary fuel filter fault, after this not had much trouble, the ones were running, are running well, drivers say they get a bit of getting used to with not being able to hang out the window to back up under the navvie, but once they get used to mirrors they are OK.
The C32 isnt really a 3412 bored out, yes its a V12 but they share next to no common internal parts, crank, pistons, rods liners, heads are all different, when you see a 3412 HEUI next to a C32 you can see the difference.

Re: 992G
Yeah well I heard of a few more problems. No Coolant flow sensor? Run the engine dry with out knowing till its to late. Heard anything about that?
Worst complaint is the driver has to get out the cab to clean the windows.
I tested a 777 with a load the other day and its alot easier to reverse up to the 120s with your head hanging out of the window but Iam just an amature Haul truck driver.
I also see the 770 has the cab slap bang in the middle? Bit of a Fitters nightmare.

Why did they downgrade from the 3508? C32 - EUI? HEUI?The C32 isnt really a 3412 bored out, yes its a V12 but they share next to no common internal parts

Re: 992G
There was a problem with the bottom hose, steel tube was missing a rib on some early trucks, the bottom hos could "pop" off.
This was caught under a rework.
the lights in the bumper have caused a problem when working on particularly wet and sloppy sites, driver has to get out amd clean them after a couple of loads, we fixed this be repositioning the lights up onto the side of the rad cowling.
The change from a 3508 to a C32 was driven by emmision standards, they couldnt (at the time) get the 3500 to meet the Levels.
HEUI - EUI - Hydraulic actuated, Electronicly controlled Unit Injecter - High pressure oil actuates the injector, Electronicly controlled Unit Injector, the injector is actuated by a rocker arm off the Cam shaft.

Yeah cheers. Just wondering which one it was?HEUI - EUI - Hydraulic actuated, Electronicly controlled Unit Injecter - High pressure oil actuates the injector, Electronicly controlled Unit Injector, the injector is actuated by a rocker arm off the Cam shaft.
Few of the 777s have EUI engines retro fitted.
