More help needed please

Post #1 by gilfach05 » Mon Jun 04, 2012 9:47 pm

My chum recently purchased a dumper at auction. Unfortunately it has no manufacturer plates. It has had a replacement bucket and has a few stickers which we believe are not original. The engine is a P600 lister 2 cyl manufactured in 1988 and as it looks to be original we believe the dumper was probably made in that year or maybe 1989/90. It is 4 wheel drive and is in quite good condition. Please take a look at the pics and see if you might be able to help us identify it.

Will try and upload the pics tomorrow unless you can use this link

Stoddard and Pitt, they went under in 1989.A well known company that built cranes rollers and dumpers.I went there in 1983 on a roller course. The company I worked for were agents.I can remember dumpers like yours being delivered just before I left the plant hire company in 1988.Their factory in Bath was very impressive and was surprised that it stopped trading as they made good solid products
