Thwaites slimline

Hey lads just bought a twaites slimline. Made in 1998. 41 , yes 41 hours from new!! It was in a factory for 12 years moving cardboard around every few weeks. Any thing I should be looking out for on it? Never ran one of these before. Any dos or donts appreciated.

Well I guess no one has ever heard of these before!! Turned out to be a great little machine. We have shifted mountains of stuff with it and with the roll bar dropped down it has just shifted 400 ton of broken blocks out of a school basement we are currently refurbishing. Refurb to the altenator and a bit of grease and touch wood she is going great. The lads love the rear wheel steering too.

Looks a usefull machine , them tiny backwheels seem a bit odd though , wonder why Thwaites specified them.

Yeah we have got great work out of it. The back wheels being small leave it you can turn it into all kinds of tight spaces once your used to it i think.

what is it rated to carry? looks a handy machine. never seen one of those before! perkins engine in it?
only ever seen the 3t 6t and 9ton dumpers.

It's rated for a ton on the high lift and 1.5 on the standard tip. Yep , Perkins engine. Same as my jcb 801.4 . Another great buy!!
