Identification required

Post #1 by Nick Drew » Fri Jan 28, 2011 10:45 pm

Hi Guys,

Not being a Ruston Bucyrus expert I am looking for information about the two machines in these photos, as I wish to use them in an upcoming blog post

Cheers

Hi Nick,
I agree with Martyn the seccond photo is certainly a 38 RB. the P&H looks as though it may be a 2800.

Hi Nick,
I found your E mail sorry I missed it till now.
The big face shovel in the Email is a 195 RB like the one here.
195 RB.jpg

Fairly certain the dragline isn't a Ruston. All Rustons are right hookers (cab on right), the one in your photo. is a left hooker.
I think its probably an American machine a Marion but I cant be sure. These and Lima were usualy left hookers with just a few exceptions.

Hi Nick,
I've done some further research on the dragline. My gut feeling was right, it is a Marion, a 195M 12 yd. machine.
See photo.
