What a shame looks like it would make an ideal restoration project, somebody must own it?

No not a stupid question at all, looking at the photo there appears to be a tank on the back of the cab so that is a valid question does anybody know how you would operate the backhoe, looks kind of cramped at the back of the machine to me?

Looks like someone has tried to graft on a JCB backhoe onto the Massey, all the MF crawlers I worked on had M F's own backhoe which could be detached in 20 minutes, they were held onto the frame with two large claws and lock nuts which held it onto a lower support. The hydraulics had a quick release coupling. I think you would have to be legless to operate that machine  On a normal 300 you were ok for leg room.Perhaps this was an abandoned conversion project ? Note the levers dumped ontop of the slew motor and the whole back hoe sitting rather too low on the machine.
