The start of this thread had me worried :D
Anyway think this is another one with a load of railway types.I think 360's must have been taking over by 1970 coz pics thin on the ground.

Thats a very intresting pic Craig,i wonder if BR bought IH machines.I know british coal bought IH 165s and even the odd jcb 110.Thanks for rooting the pics out. :thumbup:

I worked for Exeter Tractors from 1979 to 82.May have worked on that very machine

Martin what was the main problem with 165s transmision would you say?failure through lack of maintanance?or just not a good design?

I think,poor maintenance,using wrong oils,not checking levels or renewing filters/strainers. The 165's were a right pain to work on around the cab area.Great for driver comfort but poor for maintenance access.
I have some spares for 165's,including a good fuel injection pump.

Hello again,today i am posting this IH doncaster built loader and dozer line up,i hope members enjoy these posts because all too often these machines are forgot about in a caterpillar and komatsu mad world,so i will keep posting information on these forgoten machines because some one somewhere needed to doo it. :D

Keep posting Sean, it's much appreciated!

I had a book of old press cuttings about IH in Britain which had an article in it about the first Drott to be built here with a pic of it with a couple of the factory managers.

I always say that I'll try and find these things, but with the amount of literature I have this is often difficult!

Hi Sean ,Great info once again .Do you still have the 100b and is it a runner?We have a fiat allis FL5 trackloader that we use for leveling blocks of land . ian.
