Traxcavators On Demolition

Post #1 by traxcavatorpaul » Wed Jul 29, 2009 10:13 pm

Hi all. Am new to this forum which I stumbled upon while surfing the net. I am looking for more pics like the ones below of Traxcavators and other Track Loaders circa 50s-70s in any scenario. Hope these haven't been posted before. They have just been trawled from the net. Enjoy.
PS. They are not easy to find.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for sharing those pictures.
You know your aging when you've operated a few of those machines in old photos.
I loved doing Demo work with a Drott, but ,compared to excavator,it's dangerous & slow.

I like the "Open Front" worksites...where anyone can walk thru & have a look.
The modern safety Nazis would be turning various shades of purple seeing that....no fencing,no red jackets & no beeping bulldozers!

Jim

Heard theirs a couple of 951's featured in Dick Emery film 'Ooh you are Awful' all I remember the film was awful.
Heres a couple of traxcavators first one from the golden age of elf and safety!

Thanks for the pics fellas. Whats the video Tim? Can I get a copy? There are a couple of 951s in the Dick Emery film. These pics below are from Sammy and Rosie Get Laid (with Frances Barber and Roland Gift of Fine Young Cannibals fame). About 3-4 minutes worth near end of film. Also in film are an MF track loader and an MF backhoe loader. But the 951 has the best bits.
More pics please

Hello Chaps- here are details of the video you asked about-there are some colour and some b&w features,i believe it was originally made in 1968-shows Cat machines working all round the world. Tim.
