HI Craig , YES as rusted said we do call them low loaders or floats . I have a photo of a truck and low loader I think was a thames trader with a load of logs with the allis chalmers hd5 that just loaded it. Just got to get smart enough to get from photo albem to computer. ian.

Ian -Get them photos scanned in Find 14 year olds are quite helpfull with this computer stuff

They are great well sourced photos Craig! Those were the proper days I remember of "pull and run" demolition when IH Drotts, Cat 951/955's ruled along with the ball and chain. Beats todays art of demolition using various types of 360's. which for me is borrring.........

Yes surprised how long the tracked shovel / chain method lasted ,but have heard that the demolition boys used to destroy booms on 360's very quickly by swinging them into solid things side on.
