Anyone got any other John Dog pics.....what I'd like to see is some of those old 450As - the ones with just one light perched up on the bonnet/cowl

There is an owner of a JD 400 that I think is a tracked backhoe on Maskinisten although I´m not sure. :dizzy:
Are those of any interest? If so I will get some pics of it for you.

I was wrong, the JD 400 is a wheeled backhoe but he (nickname JD400) helped me by finding this thread:

I have asked the members if I can put the pics here or if they want to do it by themselves. Be patient!

How old is the JD. It has quite a modern cab.

One of the pics from the thread mentioned above. It is a JD 450.
The other pics belong to another member, I´m waiting for his answer on putting up those pics as well.

It's an '84 (ish) model with pedal steering

Anyone happen to know what models were imported and sold in UK over the years.....did they just go from the 350/450/550A series to the *55 range? Looking on the US sites they have 'A', 'B' and 'C'.

I used to work on a small JD loader it was a 10-10 tractor, the one before the 350, it had a direction lever on the dash and was powered by a 4 pot lanz engine with a spacer plate/deck plate between the head and the block locating all the cylinder liners in counter bores.

Better late than never...
JD450.jpg

The 1010 mentioned had a liner deck in the engine that was an expensive Pain In The .....
I've had a few JD350 & 1010...never liked them much.,although they were all well worn.Operated a 755 Drott & liked the power it had.
