It's amazing what constitutes an 'Older' truck in Britain these days.
In Australia there are plenty of F10's and F12's, Scania 143's and some 142's on the road. I even saw a mint 111 a few years back. Lots of 1980's Kenworths and Macks about too.
A dry climate with no de-icing salts has probably a lot to do with it!

Yes -to be honest theirs quite a few over 10 year olds but once you get too 15 + years old their's not much in front line use. Maybe because big companies dominate UK scene ?
A lot of older Brit stuff gets exported .

Most big Australian hauliers, and those doing the seriously long miles, keep the newish stuff, but smaller contractors and o/drivers don't seem to worry about running older gear.
Many tractor units here get a 'second life' by having their chassis stretched to make a high powered 6x4 tipper which can pull a 20-25T draw bar tipping trailer (or 'Dog' as they are known) on local work.

Hey essexpete. Im not sure if your talking to me because i dont know what a leyland ergo is. lol
Im Guessing its the green one belonging to bradley quarries. if so then that picture was taken on sat 22nd october 2011. I was passing a local bar and resturant and they were parked up in the carpark. I have a few other pics i took on the same day i'l post them up aswell
I'v also put up a picture of an F7 i saw forsale on the internet a while back. i dont no anything about this lorry but as its in such gud nick i thought it was worth posting up.
