Roadrail Trucks

Post #1 by Jeremy Rowland » Fri May 14, 2010 9:48 pm

Thought I'd start a thread on this as I have a couple of shots of interesting roadrail trucks.
The first pic is Bedford TL which I only recently came across, the second is a rather smart looking Volvo which I may of posted a pic of on here before?

We used to look after one of those Bedford BRUFFS - one of the worst things i've ever driven.

I'm not sure what this Renaults for :?:

Must say Steve that Bedfords were never a personnal favourite of mine, I've never driven one but serviced plenty of TK's, the KM's were the worst to work on fortunately I didn't get to work on many of them.

I didn't like T.K's T.L's or K.M's - i had to duck down to see out of the windscreen - hurt your neck after a few miles.
As for trying to work on them through those flaps on the sides - well :dizzy: :dizzy: At least the T.L cab tilted.

Heres another.......

Yes Steve the flaps behind the cab and the wings used drop down too but I think that the wings dropping down may of only been on the KM  anyway they were awful things to work on specially if you had to do a head gasket on one or change the altenator on a KM, one of the fastest ways to get yer knuckles skinned
You've never seen a garage full of HGV technicians look so busy so quickly as when a Bedford or a Guy came into the shop.
Nice pics BTW and Gordon the one of the Unimog is a crackin pic too.
