Come across lots of Bedfords at work on the t'internet, it was a great loss to UK when GM closed Bedford down in 86, mainly due to the 'Keep Landrover British' loonies who succesfully campaigned the government to stop selling Landrover to Bedford as they were American owned !
, even though Bedford ( always owned by American GM ) had supplied most of the British Armies trucks since WW2 !!!.....(very ironic now as Landrover sold to German then Indian owners ) ....moan over

Re: Bedford Tippers at Work
Some great photos there. The Bedford was so popular on local work when i was a kid in the 60s and 70s. Quite a few of the road gangs/ground work had the J types.

Great photos Craig
Especially like the first 2 as the trucks looks small against the grab and bucket.
Heres on that survived such treatment and has had a bit of tlc to restor it as it looks new

Re: Bedford Tippers at Work
Really like the Malta ' in use ' pics At the risk of sounding like a grump I'm not that keen on 'Trucks on Grass' pictures unless its something rare/unusual like the unrestored truck.
