great trucks but crap dealers / back up .i have had 3 v8`s over the years a 144.460 a 144.530 and a r 560 .the R 560 started making funny noises and i left it into south mimms to let them check it on the computer .£600 later and there is nothing wrong with it ( they say ) it sounded like a bag of bolts when hot then they said it might be a injector ,might be a injector that would be like i would say myself without a computer to plug in to .then they said it had 50 faults all relating to the add blue and they wanted to fix all them first the add blue was disconnected when it was 6 months old . when i wouldn`t pay them they put may acc on stop and legal action would follow .long story short i sold the truck to a haulage co in n Ireland they fixed it themselves a sensor on the turbo and a brake light switch and the mighty scania dealers could not fix it .they wanted to spend thousands on the add blue system . great trucks but would need to see how kenworth treat customers i had my 1979 k100 in for a wiper motor and they couldn`t do enough for you. scania`s first question would be whos paying kenworths first question is how soon do you want it

Re: 50 years Scania in the UK
The 50 years of the Scania, resulted in a competiton at the P'B' Truckfest to find the best V8 Scania, lucky for me I just happend to have finished restoring a 140 LBS with about 2 hours to spare for the lowlode trip upto the show ground, so things worked out well as the tractor unit won all the glory and has since featured in near all Truck mag's also attended many Shows, it is still in mint nick just the other week passing its yearly MOT, the 1968 110 is as found condition (Keltrucks) and has had very little use due to its history, the 140 LBS had been flogged fairish by its owner driver giving me some tough moments to overcome the "Boot" that was stuffed into it, anyhow the same owner of the 140 has Barn fulls of old 141 142's and 2 143's from his own fleet that I have driven many times in the U.K. and Europe that need restoring starting very soon as I need a 142 to pull my 951B about.
