Former Wimpey employee and Digger blog reader Brian Morgan, has requested more photos of Wimpey kit in action, so I have dug deep into the blog archives and found some shots of Wimpey’s impressive mining kit at work in South Wales.

Hi Nick,
I haven't worked our how to get photos to your blog, so here are a few more Wimpey Mining photos.
The dragline is a Marion 7500 walker, capacity 17 cu. yd.

hello nick have you any more pictures of the chapmans wells occs as been trying to find picturtes of the site as my dad was gf there before dying in 86 thanks shaun monagha

Sadly I that is the lot at the moment, always on the lookout for more though, its amazing how interested people are in the great days of Wimpey !
