Nicks Blog | Digger goes to Cyprus part two

Post #1 by RSS Bot » Sat Aug 01, 2009 6:04 pm

With the much hyped British "barbeque" summer in full swing...rain, rain, and more rain It seems like a good idea to bring a bit of sunshine into our lives and look back again to some of my plant shots taken on our recent holiday to Cyprus.

As mentioned in last weeks post I am always amazed at just how much ex British equipment finds its way over to Cyprus and this was evident at many of the locations where I stopped to take photos.

Take for instance these three Moxy MT40B dumptrucks which if you look closely on the cab door still show signs of their former owner Shropshire based Hawk Plant Hire Ltd.

Don't know which make and model the blue and white 360 is Nick but the colour scheme suggests it could have come from the G Obrien fleet www.g-obrien.co.uk/home  Tim PS i haven't been back to see your mate yet.

One of the reasons i enjoy going back to Greece year after year is there are always old and interesting kit Kicking about, you always see an old 966C or 955L somewhere.

I cannot wait to visit Cyprus now, i think while my mate is working i will be borrowing his motor and doing a spot of Caterpillar sight seeing! I'll put a clothes peg in my kit bag and stick on my nose if i find the landfill with the old D8 etc.

Excellent pics, keep em coming!

Regards
