Liner Roughrider

Post #1 by Clive » Mon Sep 13, 2010 11:58 am

Help.......I have an old Roughrider, it has a PH1 that works a treat......but the gearbox (3 forward & 1 reverse) doesn't, it will move forward and backwards but the associated noise is quite horrific and it really sounds as if it is about to self destruct. Where can I get parts etc to solve this problem. I also need to fix the brakes & throttle linkages.....again where can I get replacement threaded rods and linkages. All help will be most welcome
Thank You

I also have a small Liner Roughrider, with Petters AVA1 motor. Where can I get a handbook or similar. I can probably find Petters info, but nothing on gearbox or steering box. I just Emailed HPS, but they can not help.
Which section of the forum do I go to in search of Liner comments etc.?

I used to have the full set of Liner equipment parts books etc as the firm I worked for were the South West agents for them.I gave all the books away when we moved :dizzy:
As far as the gearboxes, their main faults were the bearings. We used to strip them down and take the numbers off the bearings and get them locally.
