Today my alternator siezed
Anyone know the part number please as there is no markings on it as far as i can see

I'm guessing its just a generic Lucas one and i had a quick look but there is a 45Amp and a 65Amp so unsure which i need

I can't see you doing a lot of miles after dark, so the capacity of the alternator is the least of your problems.
That said, does it look practical to rebuild your existing alternator? (bearings are pretty cheap).

I would say it would be a fairly generic one same as on a 3C mk2 someone on here will know i am sure, I would give Vicary's a call they have always helped me with JCB parts.

Don't take this the wrong way, is it a an alternator or a dynamo? Seems a bit old for an alternator?
If a LandRover doesn't leak oil, it's run out.
