track motor failure ?

Post #1 by Baloo » Sat Jan 23, 2016 5:31 pm

hello guys not been here for a long while been having way too much fun playing on my excavator, however its broke now :(
well I think it is,
when I start it from cold it tracks fine but within a few minutes the one side stops working and get quite hot well hotter than the other side anyway , where do I go from here ? do I take it off and take somewhere for overhaul, is it possible to strip and rebuild myself or is better to buy a new one ? where would I get parts or a new one ?

its sumitomo SH75U been a great little machine

cheers Andy

Hi Jeremy
I will have to show my ignorance here and say I never knew they had brakes, I just thought as you closed the valve the fluid could flow so the motor couldent go round, I think I am going to end up dropping the motor off to see whats happening with it

thanks Andy
