JCB801 Engine Access panel removal

Hello
I am newbie to the forum and also new to the world of plant machinery. My son bought a JCB 801 (built 1991) from a nice farmer in Devon who kept the machine and the cows in the same field. As my son and I don't know much about mini diggers we had it demonstrated to us and we paid the money and towed it home. We need the digger for maintenance of fencing and ditch clearing so it is not going to be used a lot.
Since buying the JCB in December we have had to replace the bucket and dipper arm bushes and pins so it is now nice and tight with no slack. We serviced the engine and fitted new glow plugs. However the fanbelt tension needs adjusting... I have managed to get a workshop manual download from the states for $12 and not the £400 the JCB dealer wanted whilst it does not cover the serial number of my machine it appears very similar.. It says "open engine cover" then remove the engine access panel. Here lies my problem where is the engine access panel? I have looked and looked to no avail. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find this panel and how to remove it!!!
Sorry about the ramble
Any help or advice would be appreciated
