you wont have large amounts of oil just the residual that is in the pipes under 5 litres i would estimate ,best not to tip it back in for the small amount it will be although if its a very clean container and does not get any contaminates in it it wont hurt
every village has one , is yours missing you

Re: Bought a JCB 3cx for Export
You'll have to keep all your wheels on. Your fronts won't fit on the rear so you'll need to pull your cab off, knock your front bucket off, join the hoses, burn one back jack leg, tack it back on round the corner, no need to disconnect hoses on it, drive her straight in. You'd probably get away with a standard 40' with the cab off. Can't remember - it's a while since we've done these old type. The 21's are a different ball game, you can keep the cab on, front wheels on the rear, the thatch well greased, you need to find 4" when you pull up to the door. Hope this helps, I'll post some pics.

Hi Richard
Thanks a million mate for the photos that's a real big help. When you say burn the back leg off do you do with oxy/ accect. or do you grind it off with a 9" grinder.I also don't know what you mean by i need to find 4" when i pull up to the door and what is the Thatch that i need to grease.
Sorry if i sound stupid but i really am a novice where jcb are concerned.

Re: Bought a JCB 3cx for Export
That's what i was thinking. Just bought a pair of tyres and wheels so thought maybe could take off the front wheels if needed to and just put the rims on the back with no tyres would this then give me the height clearance that i would need as i am using a 40' high cube.
Its a bit daunting for me to take the cab off so if i could find a way to leave it on that would be a bit easier for me. I can remove the rear wheels right outside the container doors when its on the loading bay so would only be running on the rims for about 3 meters.
