Hi there, first time poster.
I'm looking for a cheap JCB for a self build project, I have no experience of plant but fairly savvy on cars.
I've been looking at this one on Ebay and would appreciate your thoughts on what questions I should be asking other than the general condition etc.

Many Thanks

Re: JCB 3CX Ebay
Looks tidy, and at around 3000£ is on the mark for a standard machine,
it has forks for your self build
4in1 while handy, is very heavy on a 2wd machine
it has good tyres
If you can view, i would look underthe machine before you start and move it, for any pools of oil,
Does it torque. Ok? Ie can it drive off starting in forth gear?
Starting on the key? Charging the battery? Electrics working? Gauges working?
Last service? Etc

Re: JCB 3CX Ebay
Yes if you are going to have a look operate it to working temperatures to check the transmission and hydraulics. I take the point about the 4 in 1 our old 3C had a smaller bucket than the standard JCB 4 in 1.
