JCB 3C MK III restoration

during my three weeks holiday I have work relentlessly (90 hours a week) on stripping the machine down and carrying our repairs and steam cleaning it ready for Shot blasting. After it was completely degreased which took some cleaning the tractor skid unit and all the parts were craned on to two lorries and taken for shot blasting where they spent 32 hours shot blasting and priming the parts! They did an excellent job and yesterday it was undercoated and today the original JCB lemon colour top coat was finally applied after a week of body filling and sanding. I am hoping to start fitting all the engine ancillary parts and cooling packs tomorrow evening after work so I can get the machine started and moving so it can be taken out of the workshop to allow the loader, boom, dipper and jaw bucket and attachments to be brought in and sprayed. I was hoping to get it complete in time for the Dorset Steam Fair but that is now looking unlikely as the paint may not be dry enough to complete the assembly.
