Re: JCB 3C MK III restoration
This is going to be a very nice restoration when complete if not one of the best. It may even exclipse the 3C in the JCB visitor centre
Is that seat new old stock or a new commision? Just wondering if they are available for when I eventually get a JCB to restore.

Re: JCB 3C MK III restoration
The seat is actually the original seat from the cab which has been reupholstered which is hard to believe considering its condition. I spent a long time finding a suitable company who could do the work to a very high standard and use the same material and pattern. The stripes on the red vinyl material were specially made as per original and the foam in the base was carefully moulded as per original to ensure it looked as original. A lot of work went into but are very satisfied with the result. I have a spare seat so if you are interested can have it made to look the same.

Re: JCB 3C MK III restoration
Cab is almost finished now, its been a much bigger job and more costly than expected as there was so much rot so the compete bottom frame has had to be replaced as well as the top sections of the cab. The new sheet steel profiles look great now they have been pressed and welded in place. The roof has also been removed so it can all be shot blasted and has produced a series of holes which are now being lead filled to get a perfect finish and new gutters have also been pressed and are ready to be welded in place. I will post a few pictures of the progress being made. Take head if you are planning to embark on the cab restoration as it a big job....

Thanks for keeping us updated Julian; it's going to look great when it's finished.
