Re: jcb 3C II head gasket replacement
Hi Guys. I have a similar problem with my 3CII. It runs fine but coolant keeps disappearing and it seems to be gaining oil!! I would be keen to get your opinions on how and where this transfer might be taking place. Regards from down under. Simon

Your loosing coolant, and gaining oil. Sounds like you have a leak.
Head gasket, water oil cooler exchanger or leaky liners is my guess.

Hi Tillywolves. Thanks for your reply. As you see I don't get on here often. I agree with your assessment. Got the head off. Liners look okay, replaced head gasket, and don't have oil cooler so if I can just get the b to turn over now we might get somewhere!! Why does one step forward always seem to lead to two steps back??

Great news. I did finally get it back together and running sweet. One bypass hose leaks badly and I have burst a hose on the backhoe but definitely heading in the right direction.
