Hi everybody on the site! I am the happy owner of a Jcb 3CS II Machine serialnr: 3CS 117001/3
Tractor serialnr : 384 B 219696
Engine serialnr: 44466
I think it is a 1977 model . Can anybody help me with the spesifications of an actual hydraulic fluid to top up the level or to refill instead of the old .I have replaced the filter but not the 200 litres! The local Ford tractor dealer could not say it for sure . but compared to the Ford 555 which should have a fluid with a higher content of lubrication .

try it again when it's cooled down if it works ok when it's cold and slows down when warm it could be the pump

Yep, Id check the strainer in the nearside tank, and replace the filter, if either or both are full of crud or have collapsed they could seriously effect things. Sometimes the pump will make a fair old noise to when its struggling to keep up! Mark

My 1975 3C11 is leaking a lot of hydraulic oil from the overflow(?)pipe on the bottom of the king post, it usedto be the occasional drip now its almost a stream, I added a gallon of oil this morning, and it now needs another gallon, how do I fix it?
Also the steering seems to have taken a holiday, sometimes it work, others its very stiff, and others the steering wheel is for decoration only
