Re: Ford Whitlock on Ebay
First view I've seen inside the cab of one of these. Doesn't seem to be much clearance between the top edge of steering wheel and cab panel under windscreen.
Is that standard or has a replacement steering wheel been fitted?
What is the hydraulic pump that's gone is it a standard part interchangeable with other machines, maybe same as JCB, or unique to Whitlock

Hi Norman,
As a former Whitlock owner, I think the photo of the cab/steering wheel is a bit misleading. There was much more room than there appears to be here.
The pump was driven from the front of the crankshaft, and whilst I can't remember the make or flow, It was a standard gear pump which i'm sure could be replaced with an alternative if the original type cannot be found.
If anyone is interested I have discovered a man with three Hymac (Whitlock) 370's for sale.
Fred

Blimey Fred, thats a rare one then, the 370's are far and few between, but for some one to have 3, was he hoarding them or something ?

Yes Martyn, a guy a bit like me, he never got rid of anything, and like me his advancing years
are making him think a bit more rationaly.
I saw one of the 370s in use a few months back and it seemed quite good. apparently they all run and are all easy restorations.
I don't know what he's asking for them yet,
Fred
