Hi
Is it the sound coming from the front or rear of the engine?
Piston slap (off the top of my head)?
I hope it is something simple to fix!

Remove the rocker cover and see if there is any visible damage.Valves, pushrod bent.Hope its not too bad Excessive tappet clearance, perhaps an adjusting screw has backed off. That would account for the noise.

Re: some help needed again please!
If valve gear looks to be OK it could be a "Diesel Knock" caused by a faulty injector.
Run the engine with each injector pipe slacked off on turn, see if you lose the knock.
If not it will allmost certainly be a piston problem.

Don't run it in that condition for long as it may make it worse, and more costly
