JCB 3 D mark 2

Post #1 by Andy63673 » Thu May 26, 2011 2:25 pm

Hi all,

I have been signed up to the forum for a while now, I am currently looking to buy a JCB 3D II the machine itself is in good order however the front bucket drops down very slightly over time when the digger is running. I haven't made an offer on the machine yet due to this problem. Has anyone had this problem before.

Hi Andy, welcome along. Do you mean the bucket opens, as to empty, or the loader arms drop? First points to look at would be the valve for that service, maybe not seating correctly due to dirt or wear. Then would have to check ram seals if the valve was okay. Good luck keep us posted. 3D's are the way to go

You could swap the hoses around on the valve block which will rule out or confirm if the problem lies there. But yes I agree with Mark. 3D's are the way to go. Big is beautiful!

Many Thanks for your replys

I went last nite to view the machine for the second time and the guy had replaced one of the front bucket rams and that cured the problem, so im assuming it must have been leaking inside the ram, the bucket is working fine.

So I bought it! Hopefully get it home this week!

Many Thanks again.

Interesting ... seems some one has taken the Parallel lift arms off and relapsed them with standard loading arms
