JCB Hydra digga problems

Post #1 by 3CMK1 » Thu Mar 03, 2011 10:52 pm

Hi guys,
Got a slight problem with a hydra digga,
The machine has no hydraulics. It seems to get oil to the excavator valve block however there is nothing on the return line.
If left for too long the chassis (tank) gets very hot. However when oil is directed straight to the front loader valve it works fine.
seems to point to the rear valve block. Anyone have experience with these valve blocks?
Cheers 8-)

Hi Jason I have no experience as such on hydraulics but it sounds like the valve block concerned may have some broken pieces inside which are preventing the oil flow, I know this can happen on Hymac machines so thats my best guess.
If you have oil flow to the valve block but no oil exiting the valve block then its the most likely cause of your problem, there will be somebody on here who is far more experienced than me in regards to hydraulics and they should be able to offer you some more advice.

Jeremy
