Just thought id start a topic about all the poor old vintage JCB backhoes that are just laying around being left to rot that by rights should be being restored to their former glory......
This is what im assuming is a 3C MkII? has been sat in the same position for at least 3 years.....its sitting in what was an old scrap yard i think....there is also an old JCB loading shovel there too but i couldnt get a good picture of that....

Here's one I rescued before Christmas, now moved to my work, the cab is off and she's waiting for me to get going on her.

Re: Unloved and possibly forgotten about JCB's
and here's one of my donor machines, a build 3 3DII, this has supplied the internal plastic excavator cover,
I've also removed the starter, injection pump, loader & excavator controls and a few other parts. The loader arms and wheels are next

Re: Unloved and possibly forgotten about JCB's
Tracked this one down for parts, but she's too far gone. Owner wants her removed from site, but it would be more hassle than its worth. All the pipe work is removed or disconnected only the back-acter is worth saving, but all the rams are rusty. Shes' a 3dII from 72, and had parallel arms, but they've been replaced with normal loader arms. Dont like to see machines left to rot like this Mark

Re: Unloved and possibly forgotten about JCB's
Hi guys have'nt posted before but just noticed the 3c111 reg GSU 23T was the neighbour of the 3c111 I cut my teeth with, reg being GSU 22T. Machine I drove belonged to a chap called Angus Jordan Jcb hire, from Craigrothie near St Andrews in Fife Scotland. Gus bought the machine from Scot Jcb Dundee in about the mid eightys I started with Gus as a rookie in 1989 and drove it for a year for him then moved to another firm ganing experience then finished up with the council in 1993 and still there operating a 54 plate 3cx.
