Re: JOHN DEERE BACKHOE
John Deere did bring their backhoe loaders and other construction equipment to Europe in the early 1970's but withdrew against strong local competition and as a result of the financial crisis.
None have been sold since then, but apparently Bell was considering bringing the South African built side shift model(s) to the UK, but have not yet done so.

Re: JOHN DEERE BACKHOE
I have run JDs since the 70s started with a 2010 4in1 tracked loader fitted with a backhoe, that was traded in for a new 310 wheeled loader backhoe, then we traded that for a new JD410. They never seemed to catch on but I cant complain the 410 is still working after completing over7000 hrs and the only major fault was porous liners.I always liked the view from the operators position of the front bucket and backhoe 2nd to none as far as Im concerned.

Re: JOHN DEERE BACKHOE
I have a friend that has an older John Deere 410 tlb. He uses it around his sawmill for moving logs and off bearing sawdust as well as use around his farm. Dad had one when he worked for Wright Brothers Construction when I was a pup. Hw kept it to lay the smaller pie when he wasnt on his 245 Cat. I was helping my friend fix a leak on it I noticed its said made in Manhiem Germany. The motor and the frams both said it, I talked to a fellow from Germany and he said that Deere wasnt popular there.
My friends machine is a sideshift with a scissor setup on the out riggers with telescoping arms. Hes only used the sideshift 3 times in 22 years but its been handy when he needed it. I like the looks of it alot heavier than my 3550 but also a bit cumbersome. His looks alot like the last pic.
