I remember Benati having a big push for sales in the UK, maybe in the 80s, with quite large machines including wheeled loaders and 360 degree excavators - the importer/agent was Booth, a demolition contractor somewhere in the midlands IIRC.

Benati were bought by Fiat-Hitachi in 1990, apparently to prevent Sumitomo gaining a European foothold.
Ironically Sumitomo excavators are know sold by a Fiat company (Case)!

I like the concept of having the sideshift over the entire width of the machine - makes sense :ugeek:

Did not notice the side shift rails at first, the equal wheeled machine looks useful bit of kit. What would they be powered by?

I might of been mistaken but I thought that the 11c was made by BENFRA ?
Who also made a lot of machines for Fiat Allis Wheeled Loaders, excavators, crawler loaders etc.
they also manufactured Fiat rough terrain Fork lifts

Interesting that Tim.

I'm wondering as to what date it was, as a large machine, and wonder how many were actually sold in the UK.
