Just noticed this ebay Whitlock is one of the 303 models with full sideshift, quite rare never seen one before. There is a picture of a new one first post on this thread, wonder what the slot along the mudguards for?

Came across these while trawling the web.
All posted here with the kind permission of the copyright holder Mr Rodney Smith. Thanks Rod.
Rod worked as a welder at the Whitlock site in Great Yeldham from 1957 to 1969, the last two years as a welding instructor. Whitlocks had their own internal welding school & trained a number of their welders in house.
