JCB 3CX stabiliser seals - where does the smallest oring go?

I'm replacing the seals in the stabilisers and bucket rams of an old JCB 3CX.Using Interpart kit 991/00122 and was wondering if anyone knows where the smallest oring the kit (circled red) is meant to go?. I'm suspecting it may be surplus but I've noticed the small oring is in most kits from various manufacturers.

Side note: I've had a few complications removing one of the stabiliser rams as someone welded the lower pin. I've removed the stabiliser leg and ram - thinking we'll need to to oxy the pin out before reforming the holes.

First, check the part number of your seal kit - it should be: 991/20021.
I had trouble with the same pin on one side as it had rusted solid, but I have no idea what the butcher had in mind when he welded up yours. The pin should only be held in place by an M8 bolt through the eye of the ram.
As for your kit, it's normal for a kit to cover several changes in ram design, so you'll always have some left over parts. Just line up the parts as you pull it all apart and match the new to the old.

DO NOT FORGET THE DOWEL IN THE PISTON!

991/00122 is the right kit number.

Really? Must be and earlier design.
991/20021 is correct kit for my Project 8.

@Jasper_AUS what year is your machine?
