Hi all.
My 3cx has a fork which is bent at an acute angle (previous owners) only Know two ways to get it back to normal. Large press, have to find one. Or the gas axe, but would that alter the strength of the material? Anyone had any experience with one of these?

Re: JCB 3cx fork
The railway have just sold the 3c II to Vicary plant, the forks were meant to go on the 3cx. Vicary came when I wasn't there so the forks went with the machine. It would have been interesting to see how someone could have bent the fork the wrong way (acute angle).

Norman, there are specialist companies that do carry out a straightening process but its anybodies guess how much they would charge, plus you would probably have to get them heat treated again afterwards?

The pop up on E bay very frequently and don't make that much money, If you can find one fairly locally it would probably be the most economically viable for you.

Vicary have a lot of recommendations on here, you would like to think Simon might give a good discount to a heritage railway. Definitely worth a try.
