3DII fuel leak

Post #1 by cernymart » Sun Nov 28, 2021 2:45 pm

Hello everyone,
I have an issue with my JCB. After 2 months of standing I started and found a fuel leak next to the fuel pump. There is a steel part in which is a small hole and there is probably something missing. Maybe some pressure valve or I don't know? It can be seen from the bottom. Does anyone have an idea what is that or how can I fix it? I am also adding pictures. Thanks.

Hi Martin, if I had to take a guess then I would say that little hole exists to show that the seal in the front of the DPA fuel injection pump is leaking, this would mean having to take the pump off the machine; other CMN members may be able to offer you some more detailed or better advice.

There is a manual for rebuilding the CAV dpa pump in the downloads section if that helps?
JCB 3C Leyland 4/98 CAV DPA diesel pump rebuild manual
