3cx project 8 brake light switch

Hey all, managed to get all lights working on my project 8 except brake lights. Have seen 2 switch types available but cannot locate the switches position on machine! Can anyone point me in the right direction, it's a working road legal machine of 1995 vintage which will be going out on the odd hire as I usually get by with my hyundai r25 towable.

Am nearly sure the switch is in about where the brake pedals are hinged below the front dash board.

I found it right under steering wheel once lower panel removed, turns out it wasn't the switch as we got brake lights on one side now.
The machine had been a yard loader for some years with cracked lenses so after changing fuses bulbs and light units it's all good bar one brake light wiring issue.
