Guys,
Can someone help me please.
my 3cx is pouring hydraulic oil from the rear. I think it’s a valve or seal from a distributor that drives the front blade.
In fact it pours a lot when it collects oil, when it is lowering, not under load or when it rises, it does not seem to leak or lose strength.
along with some pictures so you can see ....

Re: JCB 3CX project 8 leak
I think that's leaking from this joint. Don't know if it's a worn Seal or a o'ring from this valve...or whatever.

You could do with wiping everything down and getting a second person to operate the spools. Be careful, don't put yourself where you might get trapped/crushed and don't put your hand on anything that is leaking when being pressuried. Eye protection as well.

If you can't get a second set of eye's to help out you could always use your Camera Phone or a Go-Pro (other small video recorders are available ), and some tape to strap it in place, to be your 'eyes' on what's going on while you operate the controls well away from anything likely to cause an injury.

I got my Boy handling the front shovel so i could take a close look at the spool valve... It leaks badly.

Have you had a look at the Service Manual from the downloads section?

Re: JCB 3CX project 8 leak
Having a bit of trouble confirming which valve it is, but I think its the extender-hoe control.
I got some water in my (extender-hoe) peddle shaft which caused a small amount of rust and prevented the peddle returning to the neutral position. This kept the pressure up in the ram which could explain your leak.
