JCB 3C II - problem with the converter pump remove

Post #1 by holzrainer » Wed Jun 03, 2020 5:02 pm

Hello,

wasn't here for a long time, because my machine worked well. But now I got a problem.
I have a torque converter and a 4 gear transmission.

Last year I filled about half a liter of Fluid to the converter, because there was no function at the clutch.
Now I waked the machine for summer and got the same mistake.
I filled up again and the baby moved, but only about a minute then I lost the drive.
The stick of the converter was dry but no leak anywhere,
So I think there may be two possibilities:
The seal of the crankshaft or the seal of the converter's pump, but loosing the fluid so fast makes me think of the pump.
The oil level in the engine raised, there must the fluid have gone.
This afternoon I tried to remove the pump but I got stuck.
Seems to be 3 screws going through, but one is behind the mounting of the engine.

Can anybody give me some advice?

Rainer

Thank You for answers !

I there might be some confusion here. I don't think it would be possible for torque converter oil to get into the engine oil.

the pump is fitted to the engine and if the seal of the shaft of the pump is weak, it is possible for the hydraulicfluid to get into the engine.
How could the level of the engine oil raise and the fluid of the converter vanish?
