Need to refill my JCB 3C mk3 with coolant. What type of antifreeze does it need ?

Blue or red ? My Disco needed OAT type, but modern just seem to need a glycol based.

Quich search suggests a nitrate based fluid, suitable for wet liners. Any opinions ?

We only ever used the blue in ours and still do in our other old engines. A good quality one will have corrosion inhibitors. Not sure on the merits of the more modern type following a complete drain and flush. Perhaps someone will know?

I had the same question six months ago for my '97 3cx.
I contacted Tech Support of Nulon for a recommendation.
The reply was: Type LL
It's an Old School ethylene glycol coolant with anti corrosive additives. Looking at the specsheet, it should be easy to compare whatever you can buy locally.

For an added level of confidence, check the manual to see what ASTM number is specified for the coolant.
For mine, it is ASTM D3306
