Hi I have an old 3c that gets used occasionally and the bonnet hinge rotted off the bulkhead. I would like to replace it but am not sure if the bulk head to which the bottom half of the hinge is welded is the outside of the diesel tank?
Any tips on replacing these bonnet hinges?

It is welded to the outside of the diesel tank. If the diesel tank is low of fuel it should be ok to weld on new hinge. Diesel does not ignite as easily as petrol or parafin.
