Just browsing various sites and have come across the rare beast, A JCB 4D it has the Parrallel lift arms on the front with a forklift attachment instead of a bucket (not sure if it came with it from new) it looks very straight and original, i have copied the details below. It's in Hertfordshire. At a dealer called Oakfields.
Description
1972 JCB 4D II 2WD DIGGER LOADER C/w Pallet forks and ditching bucket, 6,476hrs. All starts and runs and drives ok, but no brakes. A real restoration product of a very rare machine. Front tyres 11.5/80 x 18 0%. Rear tyres 18.4x26 20% Perished. £4,750 + VAT.

Think they were asking a lot of the Nuffield underneath,to carry that lot about...........! Back bucket looks to be jammed in that position.Bucket curl geometery looks a bit odd....

Its big money for a machine thats missing arguably its most important and unique elements to it - its rear wheels. A 4D had wider arches to accommodate giant deep dish wheel rims that had 23.1 x 26 inch tyres. Those wheels just look ridiculous.
